ROLE –
As a Senior Designer and acting Art Director, I led the creative execution of the BET Awards across digital and experiential platforms. I owned the development of the visual system — defining typography, layout, color, and overall art direction — ensuring the identity could scale seamlessly across social, marketing, and live experiences. I drove the creative from concept through final delivery, making key design decisions that balanced brand consistency with cultural relevance.
PROCESS –
I established repeatable design patterns, templates and visual guidelines that allowed multiple teams to execute assets within a cohesive system. I worked cross-functionally with marketing, production, and design teams, reviewing work and providing creative direction to ensure alignment across all deliverables.
TOOLS –
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma (layout systems, template guidelines, collaboration), Airtable (managing briefs, asset delivery, workflows, timelines)
