In recognition of hip hop’s 50th anniversary, BET Digital, in partnership with Ambrosia For Heads, is celebrating the culture by hosting a bracket-style competition that allows fans to determine hip hop’s greatest crew.

Rather than having “experts” tell them who is the greatest of all time, BET's audience had an opportunity to collectively make that decision. After giving the opportunity to any and all fans to provide feedback on which crews should be included, 32 collectives from different regions, styles, and generations have been selected—all vying for that #1 spot. When the final battle is over and the last vote is cast, fans will have determined who is your Greatest Rap Crew of All Time.

ROLE –

As Senior Designer, I led the creative development of marketing assets supporting the GRCOAT site, owning the design of page visuals, article headers, and social campaign assets from concept through execution. I translated the brand into a cohesive digital presence, defining visual direction, layout systems, and hierarchy across both on-site and off-site touchpoints. The work was built to ensure consistency across editorial content and marketing channels while supporting engagement and brand storytelling.

PROCESS –

I created structured design frameworks and repeatable layouts for page modules, article headers, and supporting campaign assets to maintain consistency across the site and social platforms. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between content, marketing, and design, and delivered production-ready assets for seamless implementation.

TOOLS –

Figma (layout, collaboration, guidelines), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva (templates per department), Airtable (managing briefs, asset delivery, workflows, timelines)
